The institute was founded by Dr. Rotimi Mathew, President- Association of Professional Mentors and Coaches of Nigeria and TPL (Dr) Omolara Mathew, it was registered as House of Mentoring and Coaching in 2009 and later incorporated in 2011 as Institute of Mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria (IMCCN) with approval from Federal Ministry of Education.  The institute in 2016 gain a preliminary approval from National Board for Technical Education to mount two programs; National Innovative Diploma Programmes in Early Childhood Education Management and Paralegal Studies. In our quest to build and develop an esteemed enviable professional body of mentoring and coaching in Nigeria and Africa we have in 2018 approached the National Assembly of the Federal Republic for chartered-ship of the institute
